Our story
Hi, I’m Jamie. I grew up eating the chilli my grandparents made at home. It was familiar and generous, and it made even the simplest meal feel special.
Years later, I went looking for that feeling again. I found plenty of heat, but not the comfort, crunch and depth I remembered. That was the gap I wanted to fill, so I began making my own.
The first batches were kitchen experiments. I made changes, tried again and shared each batch with friends. When they began asking for another jar, I knew I was getting close.
That became Lil Ember.
Now I make Lil Ember in small batches in London. It has plenty of crunch, warmth and savoury depth. It is the kind of chilli you do not think you need until you try it. Then you find yourself reaching for it again.
